COURSE INFORMATION

NZTA WARRANT - INSPECTOR

This course provides the foundational knowledge required for conducting inspection activities in category A and B road environments, as well as on the shoulder of category C roads. These activities may include, but are not limited to, observations, traffic counts, and litter collection.

It also covers roadside tasks for category A road environments, such as checking roadside cabinets and terminals, mowing berms, and cleaning bus stop shelters.

There is no Unit Standard applicable

PREREQUISITES

No prerequisites are required to participate in this workshop.

PRACTICAL COMPONENTS

The course includes two practical competency assessments, which are typically conducted in the afternoon following the theory session.

However, these assessments are subject to weather and time constraints and may need to be completed at a later date, potentially incurring an additional fee.

DURATION OF COURSE

½ Day theory and ½ day practical.

REQUIRED ITEMS

Steel-capped safety footwear and a compliant ‘orange’ high-visibility garment.
