STMS P - Site Traffic Management Supervisor Practising

This unit standard is designed for non-practicing Site Traffic Management Supervisors (STMS) who require the STMS practicing warrant for a road environment, as defined in the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM) and is aimed at individuals intending to become onsite STMS in category A, B, or C road environments. After completing this unit, participants will be equipped to:

PREREQUISITES

Candidates must have the following qualifications before enrolling:

Site Traffic Management Supervisor (US 31962)

Traffic Management Operative
(US 31960)

PRACTICAL COMPONENTS

Participants are required to complete three closures relevant to their chosen road environment. Two closures will be observed by a mentor or verifier, while an Assessor will observe a live lane closure (e.g., alternating flow for categories A and B) and a lane closure for category C.

The assessor will also review the mentor or verifier’s observations to ensure they have been appropriately conducted and that sufficient evidence is provided.

DURATION OF COURSE

The duration varies based on the verification and assessment requirements, as well as the learner's pace in completing the tasks.

If applicable, bring mentor or verifier notes and evidence for any tasks they can complete. Suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policies is also required.

Participants may need to provide traffic management equipment, vehicles, and staff to complete the tasks; alternatively, we can arrange this for you and pass on the associated costs.
